Ricca antologia di racconti di Lafferty. Quasi tutte le opere sono di fantascienza umoristica o presentano comunque una vena satirica. Lettura nel complesso divertente, con un livello generale discreto. Spiccano in particolare l'originale Novecento Nonne, i due racconti, ormai grandi classici, ambientati su Camiroi Associazione Genitori e Insegnanti e Leggi e Usanze dei Camiroi, il visionario La Lunga Notte di Martedì e il sorprendente I Prodigi di McGruder.
